Hunger Crisis in Dokolo Forces Farmers to Sell their Livestock at Give-away Prices Residents of Dokolo district in Northern Uganda are facing a hunger crisis due to shortage of rainfall. Robert Oweka of Orom sub-county reports to News-Hapa that the crisis is the local community members to sell off their livestock at given away prices. He elaborates, “Local community are selling big goat at Ugsh30,000/-50,000/ & chicken at 5,000/-9,000/ which its fall from 85,000/-150,000/ & 17,000/-22,000/ respectively.” [sic].
Oweka calls for help towards his community saying, “You can save life. Donate now.”
