Kateze Locals Brace for Famine Due to National Park Animals

Farmers in Kyalanga parish of Kateze district are likely to suffer famine as a result of wild animals eating and destroying their crops, Ramadhan Kisoko, a resident of the area reports to News-Hapa. The animals which are mostly buffaloes and warthogs and occasionally elephants escape from Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kisoko reports that the men of the parish no longer sleep in their houses but instead spent the nights in the gardens keeping watch for the animals.
